My post on the Lieberman blog

I left this post in response to this entry on the Lieberman blog. I encourage everyone else to comment with civility on the Lieberman blog. Point out their incivility. Point out Lieberman's record. Don't be insulting, but don't ignore the blog either.

well, i'm glad you're trying to keep the tone civil mr. lieberman.

you know what i'd love? i'd love a blog post that would explain the following things:

1) your vote on alito - for closure and against him in the the full senate. you're an experienced senator mr. lieberman, you knew the only way to stop alito was in the closure vote. explain why ct voters shouldn't see the second vote as a sham.

2) your vote from the bankruptcy bill. interest rates are rising and homes are under threat. the bankruptcy bill you voted for will ruin thousands of ct families. explain your vote.

3) your constant cheerleading of the war in in iraq. good friends do not allow friends to make horrible mistakes. you say you have a good relationship with mr. bush - and that's actually a good thing. we need democrats who republicans will listen to. but many americans - democrats and republicans - think bush is a boy in a bubble. his advisors don't let the real truth about the failures in iraq through. you could break that bubble but instead you cheer on a failure. why don't you use your access to wake bush up?
