Some people are simply beyond shame. Still, let me count the ways that put me to shame. For starters...
I'm ashamed of mediocrity wrapped in destructiveness inside this self-righteous individual
"There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."
Oh... there are plenty of other things that I'm ashamed of.
A painful emotion caused by a strong sense of guilt, embarrassment, unworthiness, or disgrace.
Capacity for such a feeling: Have you no shame?
One that brings dishonor, disgrace, or condemnation.
A condition of disgrace or dishonor; ignominy.
A great disappointment.
I'm ashamed of this country being perceived as a pariah around the world and its international image and standing in the gutter the past seven years...
I'm ashamed of crooks and thieves who've looted our national treasury and refuse to acknowledge any responsibility for it...
I'm ashamed of our Congressional Democratic leaders lacking a backbone and standing up for what's right and constitutional...
I'm ashamed of Faux News and all of its bloviators...
I'm ashamed of the likes of Jessica Simpson, Milli Vanilli, and Jerry Springer...
I'm ashamed of unscrupulous corporations who line their pockets while average, hard-working people get the shaft...
I'm ashamed of fearmongers who give no thought to spreading fear and use disgraceful and devious means to politically manipulate others to achieve their ends...
I'm ashamed of all the vacuous nonsense in our media...
I'm ashamed of DINO's like Joe Lieberman...

There are plenty of things that I am not ashamed of.
I'm not ashamed that I see this country on the verge of an historic political breakthrough...
I'm not ashamed that the racist "Southern Strategy" cooked up by the likes of Richard Nixon and continued to this day by the Karl Roves of this world is about to be confined to the dustbin of history...
I'm not ashamed that we may soon see an end to divisive politics and that we might even see some progress on many stalled domestic initiatives...
I'm not ashamed that the God of Small Things is about to become a footnote in presidential history...
I'm not ashamed that we as a country may soon enter an era where the rule of law and respect for international institutions becomes the norm...
I'm definitely not ashamed that Al Gore, after having the 2000 Election stolen from him in the worst possible way, has reemerged as a global statesman for the most urgent issue of our times...
Most of all, I'm not ashamed that the Democratic Party is poised to renew its spirit of progress along with economic and social justice for all...
So, cheer up and be optimistic that the times they are a-changin' and things are about to get better in this country in a few months
Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin'.
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.
Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.
