Calm & Cool - Ready for a hot summer

Is anybody else here addicted to the Antiques Roadshow on PBS? Great show, period. On the other hand CSI: Miami just scares me. What's with the blank and obsessive stare on the actors of the show? And David Caruso, does he think he's some sort of new-age romantic with that goofy voice.. what's his deal? Gimme a break. Off-topic, word to Leelee Sobieski.. I'm totally impressed by that pair of... eyebrows.. of yours.
Today is my birthday and how I would love to see resolution to this 15 year long primary. Obama could finish it up with wins in both NC & IN.. Hillary, not so much.. two wins would only give pause to the superdelegates to reconsider their decision.
Neither will happen. Obama will win NC and Hillary will take IN.
So where does that leave us? In a spot no better than yesterday. I would like to believe that Team Clinton would eventually give up, eventually, because the math would force them out.. Like Huckabee & Romney figured out a long time ago in their contests.
But the Clinton surrogates on TV are singing a different tune. Just a few minutes ago I caught Lanny Davis on the Larry King show explaining to the superdelegates as to why Mr. Obama was unacceptable to the all-powerful "white middle class working" group or whatever they call it.
The Clinton Camp has no intention of letting go. NONE.
A few people on DK are hoping for some resolution on May 30th when the Florida & Michigan issue comes to a party vote (in whatever form.) I'm afraid that no matter what the outcome; nothing will change because of it.
Bill has no intention of letting this slip through his fingers.
I've have a theory that Bill needs to make his best showing in this primary to satisfy his foreign investors. They didn't sink hundreds of millions of dollars into his library for nothing. He's gotta show that he tried his best or face retribution (with the russian crooks he's hanging around, who knows what might happen.) But I could be smoking crack and have no clue what I'm talking about, thats a possibility.
This is going to Denver.
Bullshit, you say? Bill & Hillary will argue that the choice the superdelegates have made now can change inbetween June & August. Put it to a vote and they will change their minds, eventually.
The media will comply because they love idea of a 3 month long battle between Obama & Hillary.. their ratings are up and advertising dollars with it. Billary and Hillary will egg them on because its good tv. Pat Buchanan will breath a sigh of relief because he will have 3 more months to educate americans on how very very black Obama is... Scarborough gets to play his chaos game with Limbaugh for another day and Stephanopolous's dreams of oval office glory will live for another day.
The media has no intention of letting this finish early.
See you guys in Denver.
[EDIT] The only good thing I can take away from these cynical thoughts is that all of my previous predictions about this race have been totally wrong.
