Yearly Kos and Air America Web Company Also Helping Coulter
Sun Apr 01, 2007 at 05:28:03 PM PDT
Prepare to be outraged. No not Gonzales firing outrage, not even false intel leading to war outrage...not even Bush twins in Argentina outrage. Lame internets company Advomatic has been quietly picking up a slew of Right-Wing nutjob clients. For some of these turncoat companies -- it's all about the Hamiltons.
You may have known Advo as the company that runs such progressive sites as TPMcafe, YearlyKos and Air America. But my how a ballooning federal budget and no-bid contracts can change a company...and their soul. One of their first new clients, none other than Fag Hag herself...Anne Coulter.
Breaking: Bush insults all involved in fight against terror
Wed Nov 01, 2006 at 09:49:17 AM PDT
Washington, DC -
Just days after Bush signed the Defense Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2005, Republicans and Democrats are calling for a Bush apology for his insulting of the entire Defense establishemt, and specifically our "Armed Forces."
Video
Bush claimed that all those receiving money through the appropriations process, including the Pentagon and all branches of the military including the troops, "...never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people...."
Sen. John McCain was the first to jump on Bush's statement and demand an immediate apology saying the President's statement,
Should deeply offend any American with an ounce of appreciation for what they (the troops) suffer and risk so that the rest of us can sleep more comfortably at night.
Damnit Dems, Repeat: Bringing our troops home will...
Sun Oct 29, 2006 at 07:47:11 AM PDT
Okay, Cardin is killing me. Russert keeps asking if he'd still call for the troops to come home by the end of '07 even if Iraq wasn't "secure." Of course, that isn't what Cardin said, but that is beside the point.
Cardin: Blah, blah, blah. I have a plan, plan...Plan...Plan.
Didn't John Kerry have lots of "plans?"
Dems, Repeat after me, "Bringing our troops home WILL STABILIZE Iraq." Hell, "Bringing our troops home is the ONLY way to STABILIZE Iraq." The Bush policy is "Destabilizing Iraq." Please define the debate. It is not, "Stay the course and win, or cut and run and lose." It is, "Continue with a failed policy and lose, or Redeploy and stabilize Iraq."
Bush, Not Berger, Let "Brutal Terrorist" Escape
Fri Sep 08, 2006 at 10:58:10 PM PDT
The Dems, with signifigant help from that whacky blog-o-sphere, are finally doing a decent job defending themselves from the outrageous claims of the "Path to 911." Yet, we still haven't learned from the GOP's most sucessful tactic: Never play defense, always play offense. It is not enough to simply say, "That's not true." The GOP always finds a way to claim (falsely) that Dems are the one's doing exactly what Democrats are accusing the ReThugs of doing.
Let's not forget that while the story about Sandy Berger not allowing the CIA and Northern Alliance to capture or kill bin-Laden is a complete fabrication, the story about Bush not letting the CIA and Pentagon take out Zarqawi really did happen.
The Pentagon drew up still another attack plan, and for the third time, the National Security Council killed it.
Military officials insist their case for attacking Zarqawi's operation was airtight, but the administration feared destroying the terrorist camp in Iraq could undercut its case for war against Saddam.
The 'Where's Osama?' Fallacy
Tue Aug 22, 2006 at 09:57:24 PM PDT
occams hatchet's diary makes some great points about framing the debate, and putting the GOP on the defensive. His simple terrorism talking point jolted my memory and got me thinking. Occams hatchet's question:
Where's Osama?
Pretty good, right? But in typical Dem fashion I found myself backpedalling and thinking, "But what if they find Osama just before the election?" On the surface this seems like a reasonable concern, but it doesn't square with history.
I'll explain after the jump.
A Web Developer's View of Lieberman's Lie
Tue Aug 08, 2006 at 07:55:52 PM PDT
It's amazing that http://joe2006.com is still a just a note telling Lamont to have his buddies stop attacking the site. As a fulltime web developer, and one who has worked on campaigns, I can tell you it takes all of 10 minutes to fix this problem. If you want to know the details they'll be below.
Update: Joe was using
Joomla. What that means below.
Update II: The actual host appears to be
MyHostCamp who's site also appears down and just has a suspended page (same as Joe's now). Looks like the host screwed up and JoeMentum decided to just milk it for sympathy instead of simply switching hosts. On the
cached version of the MyHost homepage they brag about their great service and their "1.0Megawatt 12 cylinder diesel with a 2000 gallon diesel fuel tank" that helps keep their sites up during a power outage and is ironically nicknamed "Little Joe."
Tucker Carlson Praises "Liberalism"
Wed Aug 02, 2006 at 06:50:54 AM PDT
Perhaps Tucker's bow tie is his magic Consevative cape? He wasn't wearing it when he sang the praises of Liberalism on Hardball last Thursday.
'Hardball with Chris Matthews' for July 27 -
Before we did, Chris, I had the experience in the final five minutes I was in Lebanon, that kind of sums up that country for me. I went into the gift shop at the hotel we were staying in to buy a newspaper, and what for sale on the counter did I find but condoms, prophylactics.
Now why is this significant? I`ll tell you why. It`s an Arab country. Any Arab country in which condoms are sold in the gift shop of your hotel is a very liberal Arab country, and that`s what we want in this world. Democracy, it seems to me, works in some cases.
In other cases, it produces Hamas, but liberalism in the broadest sense, tolerance for pluralism, for genuine general diversity of ideas, that`s the thing the Middle East needs. That`s the one thing Lebanon has. It has a gay bar in downtown Beirut, and that is the thing that is really in peril of being destroyed by the current conflict.
Lamm and Lessons for Dems
Sun Jul 16, 2006 at 10:14:28 PM PDT

What happens when
Michael Schiavo shows up to support Congressional Candidate, Peggy Lamm? This fine family shows up to show us the real face of the GOP...adorably insane. Democrats could learn two important lessons from this event, and the Lamm race.
A few months ago I got into a conversation with a friend from Colorado about Peggy Lamm. He assured me that she had "No chance of winning," and played up her "outsider" status. Of course, this only draws me to her more. My friend directed me to a CO Democratic politics "insider," who further assured me that the DC establishment was firmly behind Ed Perlmutter, which only goes to prove that the Beltway Boys, with their perpetual losing convential wisdom are of no use to the Party. Lamm is the clear choice and best chance of Democrats stealing another seat in November. Lesson 1: Don't listen to "Party Insiders."
Bush Bounces...They Die
Thu Jun 15, 2006 at 05:24:41 PM PDT

Here's a little screenshot from the aol front page. You gotta love the news media pushing for that "Bush bounce" after his "Best week in ages." There's about 2,500 soldiers who aren't having such a great week, but the press just loves the "shock and awe." Please show us more terrorist corpses...it's like dangling keys in front of a baby.
Rush Thinks War is "Against Iraq"
Tue Jun 06, 2006 at 01:30:44 PM PDT
We all know Rush is a crazy drug addict. A great post
at MYDD mentions
this quote and the right-wing reflex to blame all that has gone wrong on the media and the Dems. I should say, media/dems, since they are one in the same in their eyes. But notice Rush's second-to-last sentence. Notice how he characterizes the war "...the war against Iraq." Maybe, Rush is just drugged-up, but it is at least an interesting Freudian-slip. The Reality-challenged Right is so stuck in a hate-filled, reflexive, black and white world that they still think the war is "against Iraq." Do they refuse to see the tragedy of Haditha, the general travesty that has become Iraq, because it really isn't that bad? In their view, it's Iraqi's dying more than us...we are winning! Though they pay lip service at times, they cannot differentiate between the insurgents and the other Iraqis, even three years after
Mission Accomplished. The tragedy is not just their inability to admit their guys could do wrong, it's their inability to understand why it's wrong.
It's not Incomptence, Indifference...It's America Year Zero
Tue May 16, 2006 at 11:31:29 AM PDT
Funny that a Daily Kos post about the administration not being incompetent popped up on the very same day I planned to post about "incompetence" being a convenient excuse. Bob Johnson lays out a good case that incompetence is a byproduct of simply not caring. However, like the incompetence argument, this one does not go far enough. Dem candidates, bloggers, pundits, and citizens are selling the administration, and thus our party, short by allowing the tragedies of 911, Katrina, Iraq, et al to be written off as products of incompetence or indifference.
Saint Hammer of Texas
Wed Apr 05, 2006 at 01:40:49 PM PDT
I praise my Lord and Savior that someone ( Rick Scarborough) is finally bringing attention to the plight of persecuted Christians. He could have joined with the popular crowd and stood up for persecuted Christians in China, North Korea, or those being massacred in Sudan, but come on, enough is being done for them. Besides, is it really that bad? Thank God that Scarborough and "Christians" across America are defending their persecuted brethren, like Tom Delay.
The persecution of St. Hammer so reminds of the fate suffered by Perpetua and Felicitas. Just read this description and you'll find some every similarities to Delay's sufferings. Won't this type of persecution ever end!
At the demand of the pagan mob they were first scourged; then a boar, a bear, and a leopard, were set at the men, and a wild cow at the women. Wounded by the wild animals, they gave each other the kiss of peace and were then put to the sword.
The stoning of Stephen, the boiling of John, Nero using Christians as human torches, or those secular bullies using the "politics of personal destruction," it's all the same, and it must STOP!
Chicken Soup for the Soulless
Tue Mar 14, 2006 at 02:31:10 PM PDT
Damn you George W.! You managed to sully the one piece of
good news I've seen since...since, you took office. If only
Iraq had an autistic basketball star.

J-Mac And The President
President Bush: "I am very honored to meet you Jason, can I call you J-Mac?"
J-Mac: "Yes, sir."
President Bush: "You can call me George W."
Bush told the media gathered that the story has "captivated the American public" and "touched the hearts of citizens all over the country."
And let's be clear, critics of Bush are America haters who don't support awe-inspiring athletic heroics--looking your way Feingold.
Breaking News: Dems Indicted
Fri Mar 10, 2006 at 10:48:40 AM PDT
When I launch Internet Explorer (very rare) it automatically opens to
netscape. I just haven't bothered to change it because I really only use Firefox. Plus, it's a good way to see what news is getting served to the masses. Today's Headline,
Dems Indicted; Clinton, Kerry Targeted
I was shocked. What was this all about? Since earlier this morning when I checked the news had the Dems committed a great crime? Had they been implicated with Abramoff? No! They had been "charged" by the head of the GOP, Ken Mehlman, with an inability to find an election-year slogan.
Reclaiming America for Christ
Mon Mar 06, 2006 at 08:52:00 PM PDT
This is going to be a great conference. If these "Christians" spent half as much time fighting the
AIDS epidemic, ending
hunger abroad and in the US, calling on the US to give more of it's
budget in aid, demanding action to
stop genocide in Darfur , helping to implement the
UN Millennium Goals, and generally sharing the "
Peace of Christ" instead of wasting their time with this bullshit, they might actually Reclaim America for Christ. Of course, banning abortion and bitching about the threats of evolution, gays, and stem cell research while hanging out in the air conditioning in Florida with Mike Huckabee and Katherine Harris is so much easier. I hope there's a mid-day Rush break!

Fri Mar 03, 2006 at 03:27:37 PM PDT
Over at
Give Orange our community is launching 7 Fridays of
Give Up and Give. We are gathering ideas from our supporters on creative ways to give something up on each Friday of Lent, and give something to others in return.
This Friday, people are being asked to skip a movie this weekend. Instead, use the money saved to sign up for membership in the Genocide Intervention Network. GINet is a great project from the Center for American Progress that transcends partisanship and empowers people to help stop the Darfur genocide by supporting the AU Peacekeeping efforts. Membership is only $15.00. Please join.
McClellan Teaches Terrorists How to Avoid Port Security
Wed Feb 22, 2006 at 03:19:42 PM PDT
The Bush Administration is adamant about protecting our security methods and results when revealing them would be politically inconvenient, embarrassing, or reveal that they are breaking the law. However, they are happy to blab away when politics makes revealing allegedly sensitive information politically expedient. Today's example came from Scott McClellan who gave terrorists great insight into how to avoid port security.
Breaking! Update! Most Important Story Ever! Eavesdropping on Bush
Mon Feb 13, 2006 at 04:15:14 PM PDT
Get ready for the revelation of a lifetime. Bush's mic was left on inadvertently during the Republican Retreat as he delivered his confidential remarks to the caucus. Oooh, this is gonna be hot. Maybe he'll call Brownie and "asshole." Maybe, he'll tell that guy Cheney shot to "Go Fuck Yourself!" Whatever he says, we are going to get our first look at Bush's real thoughts on the Domestic Wiretapping controversy. Alright, enough build-up, let's get to the goods...
