Consumerfreedom.com: anti-activist group
Wed Sep 29, 2004 at 09:20:40 PM PDT
So.. i'm in front of the tv.. and a commercial comes on for
www.consumerfreedom.com. It's got soup nazi guy in it from Sienfeld and i'm checkin out the website and trying to figure out who these guys are... and it's kinda grey... They are a 501(c)(3) corporation.
The basic thrust of the ad and website is this: You don't need consumer groups protecting you from food you eat, because you can do it yourself. They site some extreme examples such as a law that would require that candy-bar not be sold to children under 10.
But that's just the surface of where this all goes. More below the break...
Bush ad mocks Kerry shift on positions
Wed Sep 22, 2004 at 01:03:23 PM PDT
So says the headline over at Yahoo's homepage. You can read the whole story
here. It's a flip-flop ad. Here's an excerpt:
""Kerry voted for the Iraq war, opposed it, supported it, and now opposes it again. He bragged about voting for the $87 billion to support our troops before he voted against it. He voted for education reform and now opposes it. He claims he's against increasing Medicare premiums but voted five times to do so," the ad says."
Let's go vote this one down. It's retarded that such a thing could be on the Yahoo or Google News home.

Link to the
full story
"Faced with mounting violence in Iraq, the Bush administration plans on Tuesday to propose shifting $3.46 billion from Iraqi water, power and other reconstruction projects to improve security, boost oil output and prepare for elections scheduled for January."
That's right folks.. we're going to win their hearts and minds by putting reconstruction on hold and doing what's really important... getting MORE OIL!
