Larry Grant and Idaho's first district

(Maybe I should start numbering these or something.)
The first congressional district of Idaho, in which Larry Grant is running to replace the retiring Representive C. L. "Butch" Otter (who is running for Governor), has one mention that I can find besides my own previous diary on the issue. It's from Nathaniel Ament Stone, and while I cannot speak to the gentleman's character, this is essentially all he has to say:
Idaho 01 - Butch Otter (R) running for Governor
STATUS: Totally solid for the GOP; Bush got nearly 70% both times
GEOGRAPHY: Western Idaho
This is a total snooze-fest outside of the Republican primary.
He's mistaken and I'll tell you why in the main body.
Larry Grant for Idaho deserves your support

Former Micron and VLSI Vice President Larry Grant, a Boisean by birth and raised in Fruitland, is running for Idaho's House of Representatives slot being vacated by C. L. "Butch" Otter, who is retiring this year to run for Governor (as Dirk Kempthorne is retiring). Idaho's first district includes Sandpoint, Coeur D'Alene, Lewiston, Moscow, Meridian, Caldwell, Nampa, part of Boise, Fruitland, and other cities in which Democrats are a visible presence. His website is
http://www.larrygrant.us/, and he has a blog at
http://larrygrant.typepad.com/.... I'm planning to volunteer here in Moscow for the guy and I invite every Idaho DKos user to do the same. I don't know what the poll numbers say but every sign points to him being an agent for progressive change in the state--commendable as Otter's position on the Patriot Act is, Grant will do leaps and bounds better and help extend our margins in the House.
